Job summary

Education & Training Resources LLC is seeking a Career Transition Specialist in Excelsior Springs, MO to assist students with employment, college enrollment, relocation needs, child care, and transportation. This is a non-remote, on-site role focused on helping students transition to work and further education.

You will build robust employer relationships, refer to community services, and maintain case notes while guiding students toward successful outcomes and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, or closely related field.
• Or an associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field and two years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists students in obtaining employment, apprenticeships and post-secondary education enrollment.
• Establishes relationships with employers, community colleges and other entities for placement opportunities.
• Maintains knowledge of community services to assist graduates with independent living.
• Provides documented case notes reflecting services performed for students.
• Develops links with WIA partners and other employment and training organizations.
• Conducts mock interviews and coordinates job fairs and career days.
