Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the Denison Job Corps Center. This on-call position offers an hourly rate and community impact by helping eligible youth complete education and gain meaningful employment.

The role requires an associate degree or 60 college hours, a valid driver’s license, and compliance with drug screening and background checks. Expect a safety-sensitive environment with flexible weekly hours and duties.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 60 semester hours and completion of an approved substitute authorization course.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

• The Substitute Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
• Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation.
• The Substitute Instructor maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
• Records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.

Hourly Rate: $26.00

On-Call position up to 29 hours per week

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
