Aviation Institute of Maintenance in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Career Success Coordinator to support students throughout their training and transition to employment. This full-time role focuses on retention, certification readiness, and job placement readiness, working closely with the education team and employers.

You will manage a caseload, deliver career planning workshops, help with resumes and interviews, document outcomes, and participate in career fairs and events.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills with a student-centered approach.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday–Friday, typically 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ET, with one late day per week (11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.) and occasional Saturday coverage based on business needs.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $22-28 per hour, with most candidates expected to fall near the midpoint of the range based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Performance & Accountability

• Actively manage a student caseload and meet defined performance metrics, which may include:
• Retention and persistence
• Certification readiness and attainment
• Graduation progression
• Career readiness and placement-related leading indicators
• Contribute to a performance-driven culture focused on measurable student outcomes

Student Engagement & Advocacy

• Serve as a consistent point of contact and career readiness advocate for assigned students, building trust, rapport, and accountability
• Proactively identify and address barriers to certification readiness and job placement

Certification Support

• Partner with the education team and student success coordinators to monitor certification readiness and drive certification outcomes

Career Readiness & Placement Preparation

• Introduce career readiness concepts early in the student journey, including resume development, professional behavior, and labor market awareness
• Support students and graduates with career planning, job search strategies, and interview preparation
• Coordinate with employer engagement and career services partners to prepare students for successful entry into the placement window
• Assist with job applications, documentation, and placement-related follow-up as assigned

Data, Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately document all student interactions, engagement activities, outcomes, and supporting materials
• Participate in cohort tracking, G&E chart confirmation, and required audits, including weekly and monthly reporting tied to student success metrics

Events, Programming & Collaboration

• Support, participate in and/or facilitate workshops, application stations, commencement, alumni events, career fairs, and certification readiness activities

Other Duties

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, including onboarding and ongoing training related to student success systems, performance metrics, and operational processes

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in student services, career services, advising, workforce development, recruiting, or a related support role
• 1 year of related experience in a proprietary (for profit), post-secondary educational setting preferred
