Job summary

Adams and Associates is seeking a devoted Student Counselor to support Job Corps participants in Drums, PA. You will deliver personal and career counseling, help develop individualized career plans, and monitor progress toward enrollment and completion.

In this role you will uphold confidentiality, coordinate services on- and off-center, mentor students, and collaborate with staff to promote retention and success while ensuring data integrity and adherence to program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction.
• At least 1 year of counseling or related field experience.
• Previous Job Corps or related program experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and career counseling to enhance student employability and retention in the Job Corps program.
• Identify and remediate barriers to student success and develop individualized student career educational plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of student data.
• Coordinate services on-Center and off-Center to ensure retention and success, including transporting students as needed.
• Mentor and supervise students, promoting Career Success Standards and safeguarding student wellbeing.
• Evaluate and document student performance and progress through the case management system.
