Job summary

SERCO-MI in Detroit, MI is seeking a Training Specialist to coordinate participant training opportunities with Career Coaches. You will upload documents to Launchpad, maintain case records, and ensure compliance with WIOA training requirements.

The role requires a four-year degree and strong MS Office skills, plus willingness to travel to customer sites. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position based at 9301 Michigan Ave., Detroit, MI, reporting to the Center Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience in career planning, placement, employment, training, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of career development and case management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

• Liaison between customer and training provider.
• Ensures accuracy of training documents.
• Uploads training documents to Launchpad and creates required events/ITAs.
• Develops and maintains relationships with customer, Career Advisor and training agency to address concerns.
• Conducts follow-up activities to monitor progress and maintains documentation.
• Maintains knowledge of WIOA training requirements and labor market trends.
• Manages a comprehensive caseload and maintains case records.
• Maintains an accurate tracking system and prepares activity reports.
• Maintains case reporting in MIS systems and customer files.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
