Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is seeking a Full-Time Career Services Coordinator for the Fresno, CA Campus. The role focuses on preparing students for the job market, facilitating workshops, and building relationships with employers to place graduates.

You will organize mock interviews, resume prep, and job-search workshops, while maintaining placement data and coordinating alumni events to expand placement opportunities in the region.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher required, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience with Google Docs/Sheets and basic office tech.
• Preferred background in education, admissions, or recruiting within a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide job search assistance for graduates and students.
• Organize and conduct mock interviews, resume prep, and workshops.
• Lead job search workshops on professional behavior, body language, and interview attire.
• Provide job leads and referrals to graduates.
• Coordinate alumni events to boost placement referrals and understand regional employment markets.
• Maintain placement statistics for all programs.
• Organize regular job fairs with employers to facilitate employment.
• Demonstrate strong communication and follow-up with employers.
• Support Graduates Evaluations process.
• Maintain relationships with placement agencies and invite agency reps for workshops/seminars.

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is currently seeking a Full-Time Career Services Coordinator for our Fresno, CA Campus

Hourly Pay Range: $24.00-$27.00

Basic Function

The Career Services Coordinator has two primary functions:

• To prepare students for the job market; ie. Present and facilitate Career Services Workshops including one on one career mentoring using the Gurnick Edge online Platform for Students, graduates and Alumni
• To aid in the process to place students through building relationships with potential employers and continually looking for applicable job opportunities on job advertising websites and company websites.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide job search assistance for graduates and graduating students
• Organize and conduct Mock Interviews, Resume Preparation and workshops to prepare students to interface and communicate professionally
• Organize and conduct Job Search workshops addressing issues of professional behavior, body language and how to dress appropriately for interviews
• Provide job leads and referrals to the graduates
• Participate and organize Alumni events for the campus with the goal of getting potential placement referrals and understanding the employment market for the region
• Maintain placement statistics and data for all programs at Gurnick
• Organize regular Job Fairs with prospective employers to facilitate employment
• Provide strong communication and follow-up skills with potential employers
• Participate and play an active role in the Graduates Evaluations
• Establish and maintain relationships with representatives of the agencies in which students are placed
• Invite the representatives from placement agencies for workshops and seminars
• Maintain a variety of placement sites for current and graduate students

Requirements

• Associates Degree, Preferably Bachelor's Degree or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Intermediate level knowledge of google docs and sheets
• Organizational knowledge of educational institutions
• Preferred management work experience in a school environment and recruiting environment
