Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Full-time Limited English Proficiency Instructor to support Treasure Island participants in improving English skills and job readiness. The role focuses on managing a classroom, facilitating activities, and guiding participants through pre-employment competencies.

The instructor will administer assessments, track progress, and assist with job search activities while maintaining records and ensuring adherence to center guidelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish a plus.
• Experience conducting group workshops for job readiness skills.
• Experience supporting English Language Learners or non-native populations.

Responsibilities

• Assesses work readiness skills of participants.
• Manages a class of individuals with limited or no English skills.
• Conducts activities to enhance motivation and improve communication skills.
• Assists with workshops and teaching of job readiness skills and life skills related to attainment of pre-employment competencies.
• Administers tests to measure participant competency of program components.
• Assists all participants in job search, barrier resolution, and work-life balance management.
• Maintains time and attendance records for all participants.
• Ensures that all participants adhere to all center guidelines and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
