Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver instruction to Goodwill participants and community partners across the service territory.

You will conduct in-person and virtual trainings on employability skills, financial literacy, soft skills, and computer basics; assess needs, track progress in Salesforce, and support resume-building and job applications. Travel to scheduled sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years experience delivering instruction or training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide training through class instruction or one-on-one guidance.
• Administer assessments to determine skill levels and opportunities to connect with community resources.
• Create a learning environment that encourages positivity, creativity, and respect; modify curriculum as needed.
• Report participant progress using Salesforce or designated spreadsheets and maintain confidential records.
• Travel to required locations based on training schedules and program needs.
