Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Vocational Counselor to support participants in achieving competitive employment. You will assess new clients, set achievable goals, and deliver vocational counseling and training to help individuals succeed in the workplace.

You will coordinate with referral sources, monitor progress, conduct mock interviews, and provide post-placement follow-up to ensure client stability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or a related field is required.
• A minimum of two years related social service experience is required.
• Computer skills include MS Office; proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an initial assessment of each new client to identify vocational strengths and barriers to employment and develop an achievable vocational goal.
• Provide orientation and training for assigned jobs and review safety topics monthly.
• Monitor participants’ progress, coach on employability skills, and conduct mock interviews.
• Develop individualized training plans with measurable, time-limited goals.
• Provide post-placement follow-up for at least 90 days to ensure stabilization in the job.
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly progress reports for referral sources.
• Promote collaboration with referrals, employers, and community partners.
