Job summary

CT State Community College in Norwalk is seeking a Career Readiness Coordinator to partner with the Director of Career Services in building career opportunities for students and coordinating programs that connect academics with work experience.

You will help develop internships and job opportunities, market career programs, and guide students on employment pathways across diverse backgrounds while participating in campus events and committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriately relevant field with two or more years of experience in related areas.
• Experience in career development, placement, or education administration is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Develop employment opportunities with area employers.
• Market the college's career programs to students, employers, and faculty.
• Guide students on career-related employment and skill-building.
• Attend and participate in meetings, convocations, and committees as needed.
