CT State Community College system offers two-year liberal arts degree programs in an open enrollment environment andalso offers a broad range of career, occupational and technical certificate programs in order to meet the varied learningneeds of the populations served. These programs emphasize the linkage between academic studies and practical careerapplication.
The Career Readiness Coordinator collaborates with the Director of Career Services in developing career-related jobopportunities among area employers for the students of a Community College. The Coordinator also assists indevelopment, administration and marketing of programs which integrate students’ academic studies with practical work experience in their career fields. These programs may encompass such areas as cooperative education, career services, andspecial grant-funded programs.
