Job summary

The Posse Foundation Inc. seeks a Career Program Specialist to design and lead career-enhancing programming such as workshops and events for Posse Scholars and alumni.

You will work with the Director and development team to build partnerships and connect scholars to internship, job search, and skill-building resources. You will coordinate logistics, travel, and programming while maintaining strong written and verbal communication with students and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience working with youth strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in corporate settings is a plus.
  • Experience managing volunteers a plus.
  • Experience facilitating workshops preferred.
  • Event planning experience preferred.
  • Database management skills strongly desired, i.e., Salesforce.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Graduate degree a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and leading exciting, career-enhancing programming (e.g. workshops and special events).
  • Collaborating with the Director and development staff to cultivate and manage career partnerships.
  • Connecting Scholars and alumni to resources that allow them to access a range of career development services, including internship and job search support, skill building, and ongoing career guidance.
