Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Placement Specialist to connect job-ready customers with employment opportunities and to maintain a strong placement pipeline at the Career Center. You will work with Career Navigators and Employment Specialists to assess client needs, arrange interviews, and track outcomes in CaseWorthy, supporting economic mobility through meaningful employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• Minimum of two years of workforce development, career services, and/or human services experience.
• Must complete Placement Specialist training and demonstrate understanding.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, or group presentations.
• Experience working with job seekers and employment outcomes.
• Experience in goal-driven or performance-based environment.
• Reliable transportation to travel to assigned work locations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Career Readiness Workshops onsite with some virtual access.
• Deliver instruction on resume development, interviewing, and job-search strategies.
• Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback.
• Maintain an active placement pipeline and match customers with opportunities.
• Coordinate interview logistics and employer referrals.
• Document outcomes in CaseWorthy and ensure compliance.
• Provide post-placement follow-up to support retention.
• Maintain presence at the Career Center and support operations.
