Job summary

Serrato Corporation is seeking a proactive Outreach Specialist for the Job Corps program in the United States. You will lead community outreach to attract eligible applicants, conduct screenings, and provide career-based counseling to potential students.

You will coordinate with public service agencies, schools, and organizations, ensuring enrollment targets are met while maintaining documentation, tracking monthly goals, and reporting progress to management.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of admissions and recruitment processes.
• High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and counsel prospective students.

Responsibilities

• Meet center and contract arrival goals through community outreach and involvement to attract eligible Job Corps applicants.
• Assist and provide guidance to prospective enrollees by determining basic eligibility, conducting screening, and providing career-based counseling.
• Conduct outreach activities with public service agencies, community organizations, schools, and individuals who might refer eligible candidates.
• Interview interested candidates and obtain pertinent information on each one.
• Prepare documentation on potential students and review with the center as applicable.
• Maintain monthly goals established by the PRH and management.
• Review and audit areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness, and prepare related reports.
• Arrange pre-enrollment orientation; schedule tours of the center.
• Assist in developing new policies affecting student recruitment.
