Job summary

Miami University Alumni Association is seeking a Career Navigator or Assistant Director to deliver a comprehensive career exploration program for designated student populations. The role emphasizes building relationships with faculty and employers to prepare students for internships and post-graduate success.

Occasional evenings and weekend commitments are required, with potential hybrid scheduling after an introductory period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree by start date; Navigator role requires 1 year of experience
• Assistant Director requires Bachelor’s by start date and 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree
• Demonstrated teamwork, communication, and program management abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop advising structures, mentoring, and scalable programs to support students’ career goals.
• Plan and deliver career exploration, advising, events, and services aligned with priorities.
• Build relationships with employers, alumni, and external stakeholders to support student success.
• Coordinate communication between CCES and liaison areas; lead Career Clusters programs.
• Teach first-year and/or career development courses as needed (Masters required).
• Coordinate office-wide events, programs, and career fairs; occasional evenings and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
