In this role, the Material Handler performs shop order-picking activities associated with an assigned warehouse area.

What you'll do:

• Utilize the ERP system (BPCS/LX) to perform inventory transactions and inquiries, including the use of mobile barcode devices
• Optimize storage locations based on part velocity and volume policies
• Act as backup for multiple areas when required
• Operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts, man-lifts, and pallet jacks, to move material
• Ensure that material counts are accurately reflected in the system and that material is stored according to defined policies and procedures
• Able to identify part types and methods of storage associated with assigned area
• Perform put-away and picking functions utilizing BPCS barcode devices
• Maintain accurate stock counts, locations, and product IDs in assigned areas
• Rearrange material as directed for optimization
• Initiate and maintain all applicable paperwork as required
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
