Job summary

MoDOT is seeking a maintenance worker to perform routine duties for state roadways and facilities under supervision. This CAREER-LADDER role offers advancement opportunities as skills and experience grow.

Responsibilities include pothole patching, traffic control, sign and guardrail maintenance, snow plowing, and occasional bridge or sign structure work. A CDL exam is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must pass CDL written and driving exams within 60 days of hire.
• Must complete work simulation and medical-physical exams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems, including pothole patching and traffic control.
• Maintain state highway facilities, signs, guardrails, and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport people/equipment and plow snow as needed.
• May repair bridges, drains, signs, and perform related maintenance at heights.
• May install signs and perform concrete sign footings and sign post work.
