Job summary

State of Missouri, via MoDOT, seeks a maintenance worker to perform routine duties maintaining state roadways and facilities. Positions are entry-level to senior within a CAREER-LADDER framework, with potential for advancement without competitive interviews.

Responsibilities include road surface repairs, traffic control, facility upkeep, and operation of multiple vehicles and equipment. Requires CDL, physical stamina, and willingness to work overtime or at night.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CDL exam written and driving exams must be passed within 60 days after hire, with tanker endorsement and Class B interstate status.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highway systems, including patching potholes and traffic control equipment.
• Repair and maintain highway facilities and signs.
• Operate vehicles and equipment to transport personnel and materials and assist in snow/ice operations.
