Job summary

Smithfield Foods is looking for a Career Foundation Program Associate - Business to gain hands‑on experience in business management and supply planning. You will work with diverse teams to drive sales growth and ensure product demand is met, thriving in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The program is 18–24 months, rotating through tracks across operations. You will be guided by a manager and mentor, developing leadership and project skills to advance within Smithfield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Agribusiness or related field, or current student graduating before start date.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and written/oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing profitability of a category (bacon, ham, pork).Execute annual business plan and P&L for product groups.
• Liaise between operations, sales, and marketing; lead forecasting with demand planning.
• Develop pricing documentation and manage trade spending targets and volume plans.
• Collaborate with Marketing and R&D on new products and cost savings initiatives.
• Monitor pricing opportunities and support field trade planning meetings.
