Job summary

Wendy's in Houston, TX is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to lead the restaurant team, deliver great guest experiences, and achieve sales and operational targets. The AGM will help drive financial controls, staffing, and daily operations while promoting a fun, family atmosphere.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of Assistant Manager experience in a high-volume setting, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work 50–55 hours weekly with weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 yearAssistant Manager experience in high-volume food service (preferred).
• Flexibility to work 50–55 hours per week, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license in good standing; access to private transportation.
• Consent to background screening
• Able to walk and stand for long periods; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills with customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations under GM supervision.
• Maintain day-to-day financial controls and cost management.
• Create and manage staff schedules; interview, hire, and train new team members.
• Coach, counsel and develop staff; manage team relations.
• Ensure proper food handling, equipment maintenance and facility management.
• Ensure health and safety inspections meet standards.
• Set and promote a fun, family environment in the restaurant.
