Tallahassee State College invites applications for a Career Development Specialist, Sago Palm Reentry (Region IV) – Position #07825. This is a full-time, grant-funded role with FDC Institution.

You will provide services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and in-cell assignments for eligible participants under the direction of the Lead Educator. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering assessments, delivering the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum, maintaining documentation, and

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in workforce development, social services or corrections field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Bonus: Associate’s Degree and one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret assessments.
• Deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Deliver other programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintain and provide documentation of services delivered.
• Report monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s approved form, DC5-149 “Correctional Daily Attendance Roster” (Attachment #2).
• Provide information pertaining to pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officer’s; and
• Assist the Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development through face-to-face and technology-based interactions.
