Adams and Associates at the Brunswick Job Corps Center is seeking a Career Counselor to provide personal and career counseling to enhance student employability and support continued enrollment in the Job Corps program.

You will develop individualized career education plans, address barriers to success, conduct ongoing assessments, coordinate services for retention, mentor students, and document progress in a case management system. Confidentiality is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree (including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction) from an accredited school required.
• A minimum of one-year experience in counseling or related field.
• Prefer previous Job Corps or related program experience.
• Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.

Aufgaben

• Provide personal and career counseling for students to enhance employability.
• Develop individualized student career educational plans.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress in academic and career technical areas.
• Coordinate services for students to ensure retention and success in the program.
• Mentor and establish supportive relationships with students throughout their enrollment.
• Document student performance using a case management system.
• Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with staff from all departments to provide effective supervision and services.
• Maintain appropriate attendance and productivity standards.
