Job summary

Osborne Association, a nonprofit dedicated to helping those affected by the criminal legal system, seeks a full-time Career Coach in New York. The role guides participants from training to workforce placement, offering ongoing support, counseling, and pre/post-employment mentoring to promote lasting career success.

You will conduct intake, develop individualized service plans, coordinate referrals, and lead weekly job readiness workshops while maintaining confidential records and collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field; or high school diploma with four years non-profit workforce development experience
• At least two years of vocational/case management and job readiness experience
• At least one year in non-profit setting serving young adults with understanding of criminal justice environment
• Experience providing direct services to people with barriers to employment

Responsibilities

• Develop employment service plans with participants
• Promote program services through outreach to referrals
• Screen candidates for enrollment and orient participants
• Conduct intake interviews and assess program fit
• Match training interests to career tracks with referrals
• Provide case management and mentoring
• Maintain participant progress records
• Collaborate with external agencies for services
• Lead weekly job readiness workshops
• Document outcomes for reporting purposes
• Attend cross-functional meetings to raise awareness of placement resources
• Document progress in Salesforce and DOP Connect
• Participate in assigned training and be onsite as required
