Job summary

Foundation Communities seeks an Employment Specialist in Austin, TX to deliver individualized employment services to residents facing barriers. You will provide readiness training, assist with resumes, interview prep, and help place residents in suitable roles across FC’s housing communities.

You will maintain documentation, build partnerships, and coordinate with the resident services team to ensure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supported Employment or related field.
• Strong computer and technical skills expected.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to drive in Austin.
• Must lift 25–50 pounds repeatedly and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide employment-readiness training, resume help, and interview prep.
• Support residents with job development and placement
• Develop community partnerships to create job opportunities
• Maintain documentation per grant and FC standards
• Communicate with residents to tailor services to needs
