Job summary

Blue-River-Services,-Inc. is seeking a Career Coach to provide career development and employment support to students with disabilities through school-based and community partnerships.

The role focuses on helping students explore career paths, build job skills, and achieve meaningful employment outcomes while collaborating with schools, families, and service providers. This hourly, non-exempt position requires a Monday–Friday schedule and regular travel within the state to support partnerships

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.
• Experience with students or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of transition services, workforce development, or education systems preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and advocacy skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems (e.g., Google Workspace).

Responsibilities

• Assist with career exploration and employment goal setting for students.
• Develop internships and work-based learning opportunities.
• Provide Pre-Employment Transition Services individually and in groups.
• Support skill development, self-determination, and workplace readiness.
• Coordinate with schools, VR, and community partners.
• Participate in IEP meetings and transition planning as needed.
• Maintain relationships with students, families, educators, and providers.
• Assist in implementing Supported Employment and placement programs.
• Identify accommodations and workplace supports.
• Model career planning and job training best practices.
• Liaise between students, families, VR services, and employers.
• Track progress and maintain documentation.
