Job summary

Sycamore Services Inc. is seeking a Career Coach to guide high school students with disabilities through their transition to adulthood. You will provide personalized coaching, coordinate work-based learning, and help students build skills for success in work and life.

In this role, you will partner with schools, VRS, and staff to identify eligible students, arrange opportunities, and connect families with resources. Strong communication, organization, and a passion for advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience working with students with disabilities, especially in transition or employment services.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of transition practices and benefits planning (or willingness to learn).
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Career Exploration & Development: Guide students in exploring career options, developing workplace skills, and preparing for post-secondary education.
• Collaboration: Act as the primary contact within schools, working with VRS and school staff to identify eligible students, provide resources, and create work-based learning opportunities.
• Support & Advocacy: Connect students and families with resources, including benefits planning and community support services. Advocate for students' needs to ensure successful transitions.
• Data & Reporting: Track and report student progress, ensuring accurate data collection and submission.
• Training & Professional Development: Participate in team meetings, stay current on transition practices, and assist school staff with training and support.
