Class Description
The purpose of this class is to serve as a point of contact forstudents requesting career services.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in Psychology, Education or related field required.Three (3) years’ experience in Career Counseling, Student PersonnelServices, Advising/Counseling or Student Development required. Theposition will be required to work occasional evenings andweekends.
Positions are located on the Catonsville and Essexcampuses
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Provide one-on-one career counseling to a diverse studentpopulation.
- Provide individual and group instruction to students on resumepreparation, interviewing techniques and job searchstrategies.
- Administer and interpret career assessments.
- Regularly use Focus2 and Career Coach in your work withstudents and others.
- Assist students with career decision-making and selecting amajor/program of study.
- Design and deliver career related workshops and classroompresentations.
- Incorporate social media and technology in marketing of careerservices and events.
- Develop and implement career and job networking opportunitiesfor students.
- Collaborate with colleagues on planning and execution of eventssuch as career fairs, job fairs, Academic Pathways and otherrelevant college events.
- Stay current on career services trends and labor marketinformation; maintain up to date career information andresources.
- Incorporate TEAMS and other online/virtual career servicedelivery methods.
- Utilize College Central for information on Student Employmentopportunities and information.

- Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYAFinancial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorizationform is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/HumanResources Forms.
Parking
