Job summary

EDSI in the Gulf Coast region is seeking an Employment and Human Services Advisor to support TANF/Choices participants. The role focuses on developing Family Employment Plans, addressing employment barriers, and coordinating access to workforce services.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision. This is a full-time, on-site position in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Must have excellent telephone and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Experience supporting TANF or welfare-to-work programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop Family Employment Plans to guide participants toward employment and self-sufficiency.
• Provide ongoing case management, including follow-up and barrier resolution.
• Coordinate access to training, job search assistance, and supportive services.
• Collaborate with HHSC caseworkers and community partners to support progress.
• Maintain accurate case notes and timely reporting in program systems.
