Educational Data Systems, Inc. seeks a Youth Career Advisor on the Houston Gulf Coast to guide youth through enrollment, assessment, career planning, and ongoing case management.

The role requires intake, eligibility, ISS development, and thorough documentation with a focus on WIOA compliance. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and hands-on case management with 14–24-year-olds, plus knowledge of workforce and education systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of workforce or education systems.
• Case management experience with youth ages 14–24.
• Experience working with disconnected or at‑risk youth populations.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, eligibility determination, and case management.
• Develop and monitor Individual Service Strategies (ISS).
• Provide career counseling, labor market information, and referrals to supportive services.
• Track youth progress toward education, training, and employment outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with WIOA youth requirements and documentation standards.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed (participation, placement, etc.).
• Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment.
• Maintain an organized database of customers and keep detailed documentation of all contact with customers.
• Build a professional one‑on‑one working relationship with participants to aid in eliminating challenges that hinder employment.
