Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Supported Employment Specialist for Bibb/Baldwin Outpatient Services in Macon, GA. The role focuses on placing clients in competitive community employment and coordinating with the treatment team to support recovery and independence.

The ideal candidate has a social services background, experience with developmental disabilities, and at least 6 months of job coaching.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in community-based employment support.
• Familiarity with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients and establish trusting relationships toward competitive employment.
• Provide paraprofessional social services and participate in treatment planning.
• Develop job opportunities by networking with community employers.
• Conduct a minimum of 6 employer contacts per week.
• Assist clients with benefits information and reporting earnings.
• Provide follow-along support to maintain employment.
• Coordinate with Vocational Rehabilitation counselors.
• Offer outreach and case management as needed.
