Job summary

Global Connections to Employment is seeking a Workforce Development Specialist in Tampa, FL to assist team members with disabilities in maintaining employment and pursuing career advancement. Qualifications

• Related degree fields include Rehabilitation, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Education, HR, or Business Administration.
• Experience in vocational rehabilitation, job placement, job coaching, counseling, or related work with adults with disabilities.
• Education options: high school diploma with four years' relevant experience; associate with two years; bachelor's with one year; master's with six months.
• Knowledge of workforce development, disability employment, job coaching, workplace accommodations, and employment retention practices.
• Ability to assess employment needs, provide individualized training and support, communicate with diverse stakeholders, document services, and resolve workplace barriers.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state and/or federal background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members with disabilities in maintaining employment and pursuing career advancement.
• Evaluate employment needs and determine appropriate support and accommodations.
• Deliver on-site retention services that promote performance, independence, and long-term workplace success.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and internal/external stakeholders to reduce employment barriers and facilitate placement or transition services.
• Support effective training and help opportunities for career growth.
