Job summary

University of North Texas Career Center is seeking a Student Services Coordinator (Career Coach) to join the CLASS team. This role serves as the primary career advisor for CLASS students and collaborates with assigned majors to promote career success.

The Career Coach will provide one-on-one coaching, career readiness instruction, and workshop facilitation, including in-person and group sessions to support networking, internships, and job searches for students, employers, and alumni.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience.
• Excellent public speaking skills and ability to conduct trainings/workshops.
• Ability to lead, mentor students and collaborate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Interface with students to advise on employment, career development, internships, and related issues.
• Analyze career paths, perform assessments, advise on resumes and interview prep, provide resources.
• Develop and conduct workshops and seminars to boost career readiness.
• Build ongoing relationships with faculty and staff to support CLASS students.
• Collaborate with faculty and Employer Services to connect students with employers and alumni.
• Produce reports on student engagement and programming data.
• Assist other staff with event program management as needed.
