The role emphasizes collaboration with Deans, Department Chairs, faculty, and student organizations to build programs and expand opportunities. Candidates should have a relevant degree, 3+ years of student services experience, and a commitment to inclusive, ethical practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field, plus three years of professional student services experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required professional experience.
• Doctoral degree may substitute for three years of required professional experience.
• Ability to interact with a diverse student population, faculty, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Advise CSUF students to prepare for internships, professional employment, and graduate opportunities.
• Develop, improve, and maintain relationships with Deans, Associate Deans, Chairs, Faculty and Student Organizations.
• Actively participate in the College-based Student Success Team to develop an integrated career and academic advising system.
• Develop, implement, and assess programs; expand internship opportunities.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.
