Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking a Full-Time Career Coach in Genesee County. The role offers $17.13 per hour plus a 20% discount on in-store purchases and opportunities for career advancement.

Essential duties include helping individuals set and reach vocational goals, coordinating tasks in incubator spaces, and ensuring quality production. The position emphasizes growth, transportation reliability, and a commitment to empowering people with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working with people who have disabilities.
• Two years of production or training experience desirable.
• Must have computer skills and type at least 30 words per minute.
• Experience in small business community preferred.
• Graphic Design experience is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required with a preference toward those with an Associate’s Degree.
• At least one year of experience working with people who have disabilities.
• Previous production and/or training experience of at least two years highly desirable.
• Must have computer skills and be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
• Experience in small business community preferred.
• Graphic Design experience is a plus.

Other Qualifications:

• Ability to function as a job coach for people with disabilities.
• Dependable, tact, resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment.
• MDCH Direct Care Training or equivalent or complete training within 30 days.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and maintain car insurance.
• May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Requires standing and/or walking for periods of time.
