Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking a Full-Time Career Coach in Genesee County to support individuals in achieving employment goals.

The role focuses on coaching, coordinating activities in incubator/community spaces, and helping clients advance their micro-enterprises, while providing production support and ensuring supply readiness. The position offers hourly pay of $17.13 with a 20% in-store discount for colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with people who have disabilities.
• Two years production/training experience desirable.
• Must have computer skills and be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
• Experience in small business community preferred.
• Graphic Design experience is a plus.

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking to fill a Full-Time Career Coach position in Genesee County.

$17.13 an hour plus 20% discount on in-store purchases.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and promotion of each individual’s business and/or vocational goals
• Coordinate tasks/jobs within incubator space and/or community sites
• Ensure high quality of production of goods and services
• Assist individuals in reaching their IPOS goals, specifically with regard to their micro-enterprise business
• Ensure supplies are properly secured for each job
• Work on production, when necessary
• Coach and promote personal growth for each individual to reach quality standards

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required with a preference toward those with an Associate’s Degree
• At least one year of experience working with people who have disabilities
• Previous production and/or training experience of at least two years highly desirable
• Must have computer skills and be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
• Experience in small business community preferred
• Graphic Design experience is a plus

Other Qualifications:

• Ability to function as a job coach for people with disabilities
• Dependable, tact, resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment
• MDCH Direct Care Training or equivalent or complete training within 30 days
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and maintain car insurance.
• May require lifting up to 25 pounds
• Requires standing and/or walking for periods of time
