Job summary

Grant Associates in Pittsburgh is seeking a Career Counselor/Case Manager to support participants in WIOA programs. You will conduct screenings, assess needs, create individualized employment plans, and provide ongoing case management with diligent documentation and outcome tracking.

Collaborate with training providers and community partners to deliver job search assistance, resume workshops, and career pathway exploration in in-demand industries.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in career counseling, case management and a relevant bachelor's degree or 5 years equivalent with HS Diploma.
  • Strong counseling, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage caseloads of 30+ participants and meet targets.
  • Proficiency in data systems and Microsoft Office; familiarity with digital workspaces.
  • Strong documentation, organization and time management.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct eligibility screenings and enroll participants into WIOA programs.
  • Assess participant skills, interests, barriers and career goals.
  • Develop individualized employment plans with measurable goals.
  • Provide ongoing case management and documentation.
  • Maintain participant records in case management systems.
  • Deliver career counseling, labor market information, and job search assistance.
  • Facilitate workshops on resumes and interview skills.
  • Assist with career pathway exploration in the Cincinnati region.
  • Connect participants to transportation, childcare, and work-related needs.
  • Identify and coordinate training opportunities (ITAs, on-the-job, apprenticeships).
  • Monitor progress and ensure successful completion of training.
  • Collaborate with training providers and partner agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with WIOA regulations and meet performance metrics.
  • Track outcomes like employment placement, retention, and earnings.
  • Prepare reports for audits and program monitoring.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information.

Job Description
  • Conduct eligibility screenings and enroll participants into WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and/or Youth programs
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of participant skills, interests, barriers, and career goals
  • Develop individualized employment plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and timelines
  • Provide ongoing case management, including regular follow-ups and documentation
  • Maintain accurate and timely participant records in case management systems
  • Deliver career counseling, labor market information, and job search assistance
  • Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills, and job readiness
  • Assist participants with career pathway exploration aligned with in-demand industries in the Cincinnati region
  • Connect participants to supportive services such as transportation, childcare, and work-related needs
  • Identify and coordinate occupational skills training opportunities (e.g., ITAs, on-the-job training, apprenticeships)
  • Monitor participant progress in training programs and ensure successful completion
  • Collaborate with training providers, community colleges, and partner agencies
  • Ensure adherence to WIOA regulations, policies, and meet team/individual performance metrics
  • Track outcomes such as employment placement, retention, and earnings
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits and program monitoring
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information
Qualifications
