Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Bombardier Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in East Alton, IL. This on-site role involves diagnosing and repairing aircraft systems, performing engine and component work, and supporting inspections to ensure airworthiness.

You'll work as part of a team, follow FAA guidelines, and contribute to a fast-paced maintenance environment with opportunities for advancement and competitive benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant licenses required; Airframe preferred.
• 0-2 years of aviation maintenance experience (AMT I).
• 2-4 years of aviation maintenance experience (Amt II).
• 4-6+ years in aviation maintenance (Amt III).
• 6+ years in aviation maintenance (AMT IV) with corporate aircraft experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
