West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for weekend shifts in East Alton, IL. The role involves hands-on maintenance, inspections, and component work on civilian aircraft in a dynamic hangar setting.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, engine work, and assist in performance runs, with supervision as needed. A high school diploma and valid license(s) are required; FAA guidance and safety are emphasized throughout daily duties.
Qualifications
- Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
- Limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects with close supervision on some tasks.
Responsabilités
- Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
- Defueling aircraft.
- Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
