Job summary

Silver Care LLC is seeking a Care Specialist (Scheduler) to manage staffing for an assigned caseload, coordinate caregiver schedules, and ensure high-quality client care in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, reliability, and the ability to handle emergencies and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, coordinating admissions, and collaborating with families, referral sources, and nursing staff

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum one year scheduling, customer service, healthcare, or office experience.
• Experience in home care scheduling preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn scheduling and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned caseload of clients and caregivers.
• Schedule caregiver shifts based on client needs and care plans.
• Fill open shifts promptly to ensure uninterrupted client care.
• Coordinate same-day call-offs and emergency staffing.
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
• Assist with onboarding new caregivers into scheduling systems.
