Job summary

ChenMed LLC is seeking a Care Promoter 1 to support both administrative and clinical tasks under physician supervision. This role is integral to our physician-led care teams, serving a defined senior patient population.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient history, prepping for exams, medication assistance, health coaching, and accurate documentation. Must have a high school diploma, relevant program graduation, and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited program: Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
• EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records patient vital signs.
• Records patient interview and medical history.
• Communicates patient needs to PCP and clinical staff.
• Prepares patients for examinations and performs routine screening tests.
• Assists physician with exams.
• Explains treatment procedures to patient.
• Observes patients and reports changes to PCP.
• Performs non-critical medical procedures per instructions.
• Collects phlebotomy and lab specimens.
• Performs basic waived lab tests.
