Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required
• Graduation from Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic program required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• EMR experience preferred
• Geriatric experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patient vital signs
• Record patient interview and medical history
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests
• Assist physician with exams
• Explain treatment procedures and physician instructions to patients
• Administer medications and call in prescriptions to pharmacy as directed
• Provide health coaching to defined patient groups and follow up weekly
