Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, TN is seeking compassionate Care Partners (Nursing Assistants) to support patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will perform bedside tasks, assist with clinical procedures, and help maintain unit environmental standards in a busy hospital setting.

This full-time night-shift role offers three 12-hour shifts weekly with rotating schedules and daytime orientation to ensure a smooth start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent experience) and one of the following:
• Current enrollment in an RN program with successful completion of the first semester and nursing fundamentals clinical
• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant/Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate required)
• At least 1 year of recent experience (within the last 2 years) as a Care Partner, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician
• Preferred Previous hospital experience
• Flexible availability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Professional, reliable, and patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assists with day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Facilitates efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
• Serves as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
• Supports unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.
