Job summary

Compass Senior Living is seeking a Care Partner to support elders with daily living activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being in a compassionate community.

You will assist with meals, engage residents in activities, and communicate with families and staff to ensure high-quality care. A team-oriented environment and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and work within a team.
• Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers.
• Licensing documentation (if required by state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for elders (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Monitor health and document changes to Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and feeding when needed.
• Support participation in social and life-enrichment activities.
• Communicate effectively with elders, families, and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness through light housekeeping.

What You'll Do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder's health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
