Job summary

Compass Senior Living is seeking a Care Partner to provide compassionate daily living assistance to residents in our California community. You will help with personal care, health monitoring, and emotional support, while engaging residents in social activities and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers.
• Licensed documentation (if required by state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor and document changes in health or behavior; report to Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Support social and recreational activities to enhance well-being.
• Communicate with residents, families, other team members, and guests.
• Maintain general cleanliness and a safe living environment.

What You'll Do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder's health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
