Job summary

Garden Place Millstadt in Millstadt, IL is seeking a Care Partner to assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health, document changes, and provide companionship.

The role includes helping with meals, light housekeeping, and engaging residents in social activities; licensing docs may be required and a background check will be completed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Strong verbal communication; able to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who speak English only.
• Licensing documentation (if required by state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to elders (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Monitor health observations and document changes for Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and feeding support as needed.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities for well-being.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members; maintain cleanliness.

What You'll do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder's health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
