Job summary

Compass Senior Living is seeking PRN Care Partners in Oregon to provide compassionate personal care and support to residents. This role includes health monitoring, emotional support, meal assistance, and participation in social activities.

As a PRN, you will join a team focused on dignity and safety, with flexible scheduling to assist residents when needed. Prior licensing requirements, if applicable, and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Licensing documentation (if required by your state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• The ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes to the Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Engage residents in life-enriching social and recreational activities.
• Communicate with residents, families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain cleanliness.

What You’ll Do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• Provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• Assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• Engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Perform light housekeeping: tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
