Job summary

Healthcare Services Group Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook to join the kitchen team at a long-term care facility. You will assist in meal preparation, follow recipes, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. We offer pay of $14.00–$16.00 per hour, plus benefits such as telemedicine, prescription discounts, EAP, EarnedIt, and training support. Residency within the service area and ServSafe compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen environment preferred.
• ServSafe sanitation and safety course completion required.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
• Prepare ingredients and cook meals per recipes.
• Ensure proper food storage and kitchen cleanliness.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to meet service demands.
• Assist in inventory management and report shortages.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
