Job summary

Peak Behavioral Health is seeking an on-site cook to implement menus, prepare meals for patients, staff and visitors, and ensure nutrition and quality standards are met. You will handle inventory, temperature logs, and sanitation per policy, with attention to food safety and allergen requirements.

Responsibilities include following menus, coordinating with supervisors and dieticians, and maintaining clean and organized kitchen areas.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Two or more years’ experience in food service in institutions (school/hospital/cafeteria) preferred.
• Must be able to follow recipes and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare foods in accordance with policies and menus.
• Prepare foods to meet regular and therapeutic menus as needed, ensuring timely service.
• Follow recipes, portioning, and food safety procedures; monitor temperatures and storage.
• Set up utensils, equipment, and serving areas for meals.
• Assist in inventory, labeling, dating, and proper storage of food items.
