Job summary

Peak Behavioral Health in New Mexico is seeking a Cook to implement menus, coordinate food preparation, and serve meals to patients, staff and visitors. This on-site role requires adherence to dietary guidelines, sanitary policies and infection-control routines.

You will plan and prepare foods, manage temperature logs, assist in inventory, and supervise staff delivering meals while ensuring nutritious, appealing options in accordance with approved menus. EOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two or more years in institutional food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare foods in accordance with facility policies and approved recipes.
• Schedule cooking to ensure timely service for regular and therapeutic menus.
• Follow recipes and portioning for various dishes for daily service.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs and proper storage of food.
• Set up steam tables and label food for modifications.
• Direct staff assisting in meal preparation and service.
