Job summary

Brighton Post Acute is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to help keep our 78-bed facility safe and well-maintained. This role includes an on-call rotation and is evaluated on timely repairs, safety adherence, and collaboration with care teams.

Primary responsibilities include rounds to identify issues, minor repairs in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for residents and staff. Russian speakers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review maintenance logs and complete work orders promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident living spaces and facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work follows safety standards and regulatory requirements.
